About Chelli
Chelli Pumphrey, MA, LPC, CCTPII, NAST
Psychotherapist, Author, Reiki Master, Psychedelic Assisted Therapist
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Denver, Colorado, with 30 years of clinical experience. My early career was spent in community mental health, child welfare, and domestic violence shelters. After 16 years in agency work, I transitioned to private practice, eventually founding Trilogy Holistic Mental Health.

In 2021, I decided to simplify my life and transitioned away from Trilogy. This allowed me the time to focus on my passion for supporting survivors of narcissistic abuse and intimate partner violence, leading to the publication of my book, Insight is 20/20: How To Trust Yourself To Protect Yourself From Narcissistic Abuse & Toxic Relationships.

I specialize in treating PTSD, complex trauma (C-PTSD), adult attachment, narcissistic abuse, and antagonistic relationship dynamics. I’m certified as a Narcissistic Abuse and Survivor Treatment clinician and serve on the board of the Association for NPD/Psychopathy Survivor Treatment and Education. I also provide public speaking and training on narcissistic and psychopathic abuse awareness, prevention, and recovery.

As a feminist therapist, I am committed to working toward the dismantling of oppressive systems and examining the social, cultural, racial, and political factors influencing mental health, particularly those related to gender, race, power dynamics, and social justice. My approach aims to empower clients, promote equality, and challenge these structures.

Over the years, I've recognized the limitations of the Western medical model of mental health care, which is overly controlled by insurance companies and rooted in colonization. While I'm certainly guided by my traditional education, ethics, and laws, I've seen the field become constrained by rigid treatment models that don’t fit most people. This has informed my decision to work in a private practice, self-pay model which helps me provide more effective, client-centered care.

At my core, I am highly intuitive (a.k.a. psychic), an energy healer, and deeply committed to spiritual and personal growth. I offer an integrative, mind/body/heart/soul-centered approach. Many clients who are drawn to me want to explore their healing from a psychospiritual perspective but are hesitant to ask out of fear of being labeled as "crazy." Well, you're not crazy. I welcome spiritual seekers, those experiencing an existential crisis or spiritual awakening, and all things "woo".

It is important for me to acknowledge that I am currently living and working on colonized land in Denver, Colorado within the traditional territories of the Ute, Cheyenne, & Arapaho. I honor the past, present, and future ancestors of this land and pledge my commitment to dismantling the legacies of oppression, inequality, and the erasure of Indigenous Peoples.
I realized that there is a concerning lack of therapists and helping professionals who truly understand the complexities and toxicity of this insidious type of abuse. Yet, it is incredibly common for people to have experienced an encounter, if not several, with narcissists or toxic individuals. Whether it is a parent, partner, friend, or boss, it is something that can create lasting trauma and devastation. I decided it was time to offer my unique holistic offerings with a specialized focus on narcissistic abuse recovery so that survivors have a place to heal their visible and invisible wounds.

Not only have I helped thousands of clients over the years, but I have also experienced narcissistic abuse from family, friends, and partners. I know how devastating, confusing, and painful these relationships can be. I've also had experiences with therapists who did not understand narcissism and ended up doing more damage or even unknowingly reinforcing the abuse.
I am passionate about using a holistic, integrated approach to therapy, where we focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. I am an Integrative Mental Health Provider and a Reiki Master, and am able to offer integrative healing modalities to those with an interest.
